PVI (Paisa Vashul Index) of players till now.....

After successfully done by rediff last year, this time also they came up of with same PVI. This PVI (paisa vasool index) uses a model developed by M J Manohar Rao and Rajeeva L Karandikar. According to them Players taking so much money but are they giving that much return ?? Are they giving the money in IPL.

According to them:

A reasonable pricing rule could be: any player with a paisa vasool index (PVI) of over 2000 is overpriced, unless it is a Sachin Tendulkar or a Mahendra Singh Dhoni or a Virender Sehwag (who could be allowed a PVI of up to 3000 as Non cricketing triats value million dollar); any established player with a PVI below 500 is under priced, and the fairest price tag would be to pay an established player an amount that delivers a PVI between 1000 and 1500.

Some players however cost much more to deliver the same sort of performance. Compare, for instance Jacques Kallis vs Abhishek Nayar . Both have an almost identical most valuable player index (MVPI) -- 197 vs 199 -- but Kallis costs nine times more!

The best picks from this list would be players with a more modest price tag (US $100,000 to $400,000) who have delivered outstanding performances: Matthew Hayden , AB de Villiers, Brad Hodge, Lasith Malinga, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Abhishek Nayar, Pragyan Ojha, van Wyk, Dwayne Smith, Dwayne Bravo, Yusuf Abdulla and Ravindra Jadeja. [Some player prices cannot be confirmed]

All these players put together would cost approximately two million dollars -- much less than what Kevin Pietersen or Andrew Flintoff is earning!

The IPL pricing so far has been extremely irrational, and one expects franchise owners to correct this in subsequent years.

The table below shows how the 30 most expensive players are performing -- or have performed before leaving.

Are the franchise owners doing the right thing by giving so much price to players?? Is it making any impact on IPL business?? Or is it a strategy adopted for IPL marketing?? So that by listening about such high price people will watch more. Or they are trying to capture the audience from outside India by giving such huge amount to foreign players. Next year Ipl is planning to launch 4 more teams, Will those franchise owner do same thing as these franchisee owners are doing?? Is IPL giving chance to new talent (a IPL controversy ) or just earning money?? Is it good for IPL brand??

IPL in sensex !!!

Do not be surprised it may happen...As we know that popular English Premier League football teams are listed on the bourses. Similar success can be shown by IPL Brand. IPL is not just cricket it is IPL business.

According to people "This innovative form of the cricket has attracted a huge fan following across the globe. The IPL is a now a product with a 'made in India' tag and a huge brand value." and According to Blogworks Founder Rajesh Lalwani "But IPL brand surely is a significant property. The most interesting fact about IPL is it has given a new aspirational wing to parents who were always hesitated thinking about cricket as a prospective career for their kids, now they are ready to back their kids,"

It was written in the news that :"
The huge success of the IPL has heralded a new innings in the history of Indian cricket. A huge money spinner, the two-year-old IPL is worth a whopping $2 billion, according the United Kingdom-based brand valuation consultancy Brand Finance."

"The IPL brand alone has a value of over $311 million. The brand can certainly create long-term value with its strong intrinsic strength and foundation. The IPL is just like any company today and it holds a long-term shareholder value. In 2-3 years, the IPL clubs may get listed on the bourses just like the popular English Premier League football teams," says Unni Krishnan, Country Manager, Brand Finance India.

And Vibgyor Films Founder Sandeep Kaul Said"Knowing the iconic popularity of cricket in both the countries namely South Africa and India, IPL ensured that the followers of the game would enjoy the clash anyways and, by default, local brands get international exposure. This is like a boon to our local brands. So the lesson was not to be fazed by the circumstance but spruce the turkey and enjoy an early Thanksgiving."

So many people are saying so many things about IPL, IPL brand. So I thought IPL may register its name in Indian Sensex very soon as a different company. Or all together a new financial product will come for this.

Just now when I was writing that last sentence something came in to mind. I am just sharing that," Is it possible a sensex( a new name can be given for trading) will open only for trading of teams playing IPL, ICL,PHL".

What u say Is it possible??

Another Innovative way of earning from IPL

What is Lalit Modi doing? Is he not satisfied with this much of money?? He wants to increase the brand value of IPL Brand or he wants to increase the income from IPL. He launched another way of earning money from IPL cricket but from IPL business.

Yesterday(Tuesday) he announced a SMS game asking fans to predict the scores of a live match. The winners will get cash awards.According to the rules of the game, the entrant will have to send the runs that will be scored off every ball of the next over (for example 1 6 3 2 6 6, like in a lottery ticket) and the people guessing six, five or four numbers in the sequence correctly will get a percentage of the kitty generated by the total number of people playing at that time. The minimum prize money for every over is Rs 10,000 and will increase after that, depending on the entries received, at Rs 5 per SMS.

Rs 10000/per over means 2000 SMS per over, minimum he is expecting !!! Can Indian audience will do it?? Will they send SMS per over at this rate(rs 5/). I can not say but Indian people are mad about cricket they might do this. IPL may get more than expected SMS. Who knows? They are starting this from today itself(Wednesday). But question arises here is "Is it not a form of online cricket betting, which is illegal in India?"

But what Lalit modi is saying:
"It's only about testing. Anyway, there is a lot of testing going back and forth, discussing the game. This is very similar to that, discussing the game amongst friends."
After denying the fact that it is betting he is saying that
"The person in the stadium has no idea what the people are predicting. It's very difficult to fix the outcome of an over. I think, maybe one in a million. We have checked it out and looked at it very carefully. If that was to happen, we would shut it out absolutely, without doubt."

The BCCI had, prior to the start of the tournament, refused to pay the $1.2m fees asked by the anti-corruption unit of the ICC, and the second edition of the IPL is not under the surveillance of the game's governing body.

What are U thinking?? Is Lalit modi right? People are ready aspect the fact that they are not made fool by IPL authority. Because if the SMS reached late to the authority due to any traffic problem in network, Will they accept that? What is the time limit with in which a person can send the SMS? If a wicket fall in the over (No body will write about wicket fall for his favourite team.) how to write and will they give any extra importance to this?? If a bowler is changed suddenly by the captain in the field and what the user will do that time?

A lot of question is coming but No answer is given till now. IPL had given its name as IPLAYUP-6UP. Guess who is the brand ambassador . It is none other than "Warne" And what he is saying in support of this:
"Cricket is a religion in India and through a game like 6UP, passionate Indian fans can use their knowledge and have fun while watching us play."
George Tomeski, Managing partner 6UP, said
"We are delighted to introduce our maiden venture 6UP, our proprietary skill game to India with the DLF Indian Premier League. This game is for the fans of cricket designed by fans themselves. We are providing entertainment against LIVE cricket that is new, thus with 6UP have become pioneers if exciting new age of LIVE sports entertainment."

Vodafone ZOOZOO and Pepsi Youngistan

Hello all,
As all of us know that IPL is a big event according to the company to launch their new product, new advertisements. And in this strategy tactical timeout (IPL martketing Strategy) is helping a lot to the companies this year.

Last year timeout option was not there still some companies were able to make their impact. Among them Pepsi youngistan was the best. You can see in the google insight how it was behaving. People were searching for that keyword more at the time of IPL, but after that the search decreased.

This year people have started searching about "Vodafone ZOOZOO". You can also see the digg where people have dugg to different articles. The character had made an impact in the industry. A funny and cute character. around 17 advertisements are made and none of them are Animated ones. All Vodafone ZOOZOO characters are human beings wearing special types of fabric to give an illusion of animation.

What are the similarities between these two advertisement?? I am not joking yes there are similarities between these two. When one will search Youngistan in google and vodafone zoozoo in google he will find the similarities.

Now u can guess I think. No !!! Ok i am telling now
"No one will find PEPSI and vodafone site on the 1st page !!!" Why?? They have not concentrated their key words according to that. They are making an Impact but no one care about internet world. They are only targeting IPL business but No one is targeting Internet business and SEO. But others are taking advantage over these keywords and getting good traffic. You can see last year someone launched "www.youngistan.com" and it is coming on the 1st page. So what do u think "Are the companies doing the right thing or they have something else in their mind??"

BRC vs KKR

Hello frnds,
After 7 days of starting of IPL when I started predicting which team will reach the IPL final. In that list KKR and BRC were in the 8th and 7th position respectively. But this when I am watching the point table, I feel that BRC proved me wrong and I am to predict once more.

Why is BRC at the 4th position? Even if both have very much similarities.

There is an intriguing similarity between the sides, both of whom dumped former India skippers and handed over captaincy reigns to foreign imports before the second edition of the tournament.

The problem KKR is facing only because of captain and SRK. SRK told that they will have multiple captain in front of public but till now not implemented. Where as BRC is doing that without saying in the public.( KP was captain but now Kumble is taking care of that position) As everybody know that Mallya is in IPL for promoting his brand with help of IPL BRAND . That's why he has given the team name "ROYAL challenger". He is also giving the best fair player award using the IPL marketing strategy to promote his brand "King fisher." He is true business man, so he knows how to handle people (HR), how to market product, how to do manage everyone. And he is doing it perfectly. Where as SRK does not know all these. So he failed to manage his people and fail to market KKR. I will say he is the weakest businessperson in the IPL business.

But one thing sure if BRC won the IPL this year then Mallya may give his one brand name according to the best player of the team.(e.g.
Pietersen Scotch, Kumable red Bear). Ye people do not take it seriously ,I am joking..

Hurry!! 15days over for Cricketainment ....

Yep.
15 days over..The initial matches were not so good..but now matches are becoming more interesting and more people are watching this.

It has become a mass entertainment. The Indian Premier League (IPL) has truly become a television league given the reach of its audiences. But this IPL business model involved is fraught with risks, which is why investing in broadcasting technology is important. We can understand that very easily nothing to explain about this.

One of the biggest benefits IPL brings is it creates a stable form of competition. The problem with ICC tournaments is that essentially they are knock-out tournaments. And when you have a knock-out tournaments, it is all a matter of luck whether the team that attracts more fans will survive the competition. Sometimes you can get to see games between teams that nobody is really interested in. Once a favourite team is out you lose the audience too. That is why this league was invented -- to bring stability in the competition. Everybody has to play. There is no sudden death and this is what a broadcaster needs to showcase. Going forward, IPL is going to be more and more successful (I think).

The Indian Premier League is really a television league, as it's not only about the fans in the stadium but it is also about the TV fans. People now know when to watch theses matches and where they are being held. It exactly follows the principle of a soap opera There is action, drama and emotion. The only difference, it is an unscripted soap opera. Lots of 6s and runs also.

This time you can see after poor performance of KKR, people are still watching the matches of KKR. As we can see that BRC has started performing good. It won 2 matches and one with KP yesterday. It will bring some more audience to see IPL. Because cricket is an unpredictable game. One over ,one player can change the whole game. In case of RR also same thing is happening. The point table also shows that last year champions are in 6th and 7th position till today. But the top 2 teams had played 2matches less!!! What a big drama is going on.. But this drama is bringing more audience.

And Can any one guess "Kinghfisher Fair play" of this year till now. It is none other than BRC. Who is in 8th position?? It is DC with 15 point less. What a crap?

This is making this game show, unscripted soap opera becoming a scripted soap opera (not fully but little bit).

What do u think?

Is SRK a real politician?

What happened?? Surprised!!

I am not. He is going to sell KKR. What happened to SRK??

He was a big fan of Cricket but not now. Why? Bcz his team is not playing well. But in my view he never tried to understand why his team is not playing well. He just did what he wanted to do. He changed the coach. He changed the captain. He sent back the players. What happened to him? Oh, I understood. He is "King Khan". So he is thinking that he knows everything. He forgot that it is not bollywood. It is the real world. Where nobody gets 2nd chance. When he was buying the team, he thought that ok if not in 1st cut, after 6/7 cut his player would hit a 6. But in cricket field it is LIVE telecast where no cut take place.

And why politician? Last year KKR was the only team who earned profit. Then why he is selling the team?? Anybody tried to understand. I think I did. No of SRK's fans were going down so he thought when he will come to IPL, he will get the benefit of IPL BRAND and publicity. The changing of captain is nothing but publicity. He is playing with the players' emotions like a politician does at the time of election. Now FakeIPLPLAYER is also giving him and his team a good publicity. Who knows he might be SRK himself or any SEO is doing for SRK. SRK is doing it for his pulicity only. He does not care about others not even for players. He wanted play Politics but instead of going to IPL(Indian political League) he came to cricket where he can earn good money and publicity as well. What a brilliant politician he is.

What do u think Am i Wrong??
